Bible Verse
Titus 2:13
“Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (NKJV)
Reflection
Christians live with joyful expectation because Jesus Christ will return exactly as He promised. This blessed hope encourages holy living, faithful service, and patient endurance. Every day becomes an opportunity to honor the Savior while awaiting His glorious appearing. The certainty of His return reminds us that our labor is meaningful and that His kingdom will ultimately prevail. The expectation of Christ's return should shape ordinary life. It reminds believers that history is moving toward God's appointed conclusion and that present struggles are temporary. This hope does not encourage withdrawal from responsibility; it strengthens faithful engagement. Because Christ is coming, our service matters, our witness matters, and our pursuit of holiness matters. We want to be found faithful in the work He has entrusted to us. His return also puts earthly ambitions into perspective. Achievements, possessions, and recognition will not last forever, but what is done for Christ has eternal significance. Waiting therefore becomes active preparation. We forgive more quickly, serve more willingly, share the gospel more intentionally, and hold earthly things more loosely. Let the promise of His appearing influence one decision you make today. Live in such a way that the return of Jesus would be welcomed with joy rather than regret. Our blessed hope is not merely an event on the calendar of prophecy; it is a truth meant to transform the way we live now.
Practical Application
- Live expectantly.
- Serve faithfully.
- Share the gospel.
