Bible Verse
Hebrews 13:6
“The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.” (NKJV)
Reflection
God's promise to help His people provides courage for every circumstance. Fear often grows when we focus upon our weakness rather than His strength. Because the Lord never abandons His children, believers can face uncertainty with confidence. His wisdom guides us, His power sustains us, and His presence comforts us. Whatever today may bring, we can confidently say that the Lord is our Helper. Because the Lord is our Helper, courage does not require pretending that we are strong enough on our own. Biblical courage begins by admitting our need and then looking to God's sufficiency. He may help through Scripture, prayer, another believer, unexpected provision, or strength that appears exactly when needed. His methods vary, but His faithfulness does not. Fear often asks, What if I cannot handle what comes next? Faith answers, I do not have to handle it alone. The God who has carried me this far will remain present in the next step. Remembering His past help is therefore an important discipline. Rehearse the times He provided wisdom, opened a door, sustained you through grief, or gave peace in uncertainty. Those memories become evidence for present trust. Whatever challenge is before you today, bring it deliberately to the Lord. Ask for His help, take the obedient step available to you, and refuse to let fear have the final word.
Practical Application
- Trust God's help.
- Pray before worrying.
- Face challenges.
- Encourage someone.
- Thank God.
