Reflection

God’s providence is often easier to see in hindsight than in the present moment. There are seasons when His purposes remain hidden, yet Scripture assures us that He is always working for the good of those who love Him. This promise does not mean that every circumstance is good. Rather, it assures believers that God is able to use every circumstance for His glorious purposes. Even trials, disappointments, and seasons of waiting become instruments in the hands of a loving Father who is shaping us into the likeness of Christ. Because God is sovereign, nothing enters our lives apart from His knowledge. We can rest confidently, knowing that His plans are wiser than our own and His timing is always perfect.

Practical Application

  • Entrust today’s uncertainties to the Lord.
  • Thank God even before you understand His plan.
  • Look for ways God may be growing your faith.
  • Encourage someone who is experiencing difficulty.
  • Remember that God’s purposes are always good.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
