Life is filled with decisions. Some seem small and routine, while others have the potential to change the direction of our lives. In moments of uncertainty, our natural tendency is to rely upon our own reasoning, experience, or emotions. Yet Solomon reminds us that true wisdom begins by trusting the Lord rather than ourselves.

Trusting God does not mean abandoning careful thought or wise counsel. Instead, it means recognizing that God’s wisdom far exceeds our own. He sees the end from the beginning. He understands every circumstance, every consequence, and every detail that remains hidden from our limited perspective. What may appear confusing or even discouraging to us is never outside His sovereign control.

Acknowledging God “in all your ways” involves more than praying before making major decisions. It is a daily attitude of dependence. It means inviting God into every area of life—our families, our work, our finances, our relationships, and our ministry. As we continually seek His will through Scripture, prayer, and obedience, He faithfully directs our steps.

Sometimes God guides by opening doors. At other times He guides by closing them. There are seasons when His direction seems immediate and unmistakable, while at other times He teaches us patience by asking us to wait. Regardless of how He leads, His promise remains unchanged: those who trust Him will never be led outside His perfect will.

Our confidence rests not in our ability to predict the future but in the character of the One who holds the future in His hands.
