Topical Index App
Public Help — Using the Topical Index
Clark’s Topical Index provides an alphabetical way to find studies on Clark’s Anchored in Christ according to subject.
Rather than requiring you to know the title of an article or where it appears within the site’s organizational structure, the Topical Index allows you to begin with the subject you want to study.
Topics are listed alphabetically:
A
Augustine
→ Article A
→ Article B
B
Baptism
→ Article C
C
Calvinism
→ Article A
→ Article D
An article can appear under several topics when it addresses more than one subject.
Searching the Topical Index
The Search the Topical Index box allows you to filter the list by topic.
Begin typing a subject such as:
election
and topics containing that text remain visible while unrelated topics disappear.
The search operates on topic names, not on the complete text of the articles.
This is an important distinction from Clark’s Article Search:
Topical Index — “Which articles deal with this subject?”
Article Search — “Where does this word or phrase occur within the article I am currently reading?”
Opening an Article
Under each topic are the titles of all indexed articles associated with that subject.
Select an article title to open the actual study.
Index Statistics
At the bottom, the Topical Index reports:
Topics indexed
and
Articles indexed
An article associated with several topics is still counted only once in the Article total.
